A Summary Of Our Faith

We believe in:

Ø The Bible as God's Word: true, trustworthy and timeless

Ø  The Holy Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit

Ø  The Father: Eternal God, Almighty Creator, Sovereign Ruler, Holy Judge, Author of Salvation and Loving Provider

Ø  The Son: Jesus Christ. Eternal God, Son of a Virgin, Sinless Sacrifice for sin and Substitute for sinners, Risen Lord and Coming King;

Ø  The Holy Spirit: Eternal God, Gift of the Father and Son, Convicter, Lifegiver and Empowerer of all who believe;

Ø  A fallen humanity: distorted reflections of God, disobedient sinners, depraved by nature and choice, and distanced from the favor and fullness of God;

Ø Redemption: rescue from sin's consequences (hell) and Its tyranny (life dominating and destroying habits) through the God-appeasing death and power releasing resurrection of Jesus Christ;

Ø Salvation: God's free gift, not gained (in whole or in part) by any human ceremony or merit, but provided and received through a sovereign work of God which brings forth repentance from sin, and faith in the Person and Redemption of Jesus Christ alone;

Ø The Universal Church: ordained by God, built by Jesus Christ, enlisted for the service of God's cause and deployed In local, Spirit-ruled congregations;

Ø The Ordinances of the Church: believer's baptism and a frequent observance of the Communion Meal.

Ø Spiritual Gifts: we believe in the empowering presence of God manifested through the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
