Men's Ministry - Men Ahead

Trinity Fellowship Church’s pastoral team is enthusiastic in its desire to lead our brothers in Christ into spiritual maturity.  We believe that in answering the questions:  “How do we best serve our brothers?” and “How do we best serve our sisters?”  we arrive at the same answer.  One of the greatest needs that both our brothers and sisters have is the raising up of strong mature Christian men.  Our sisters in Christ are most blessed when their brothers are serving and leading them well in home and church by means of godly character and spiritual initiative.  We confess that male-mediocrity is all too common in churches today, and it needs to be remedied by an intensive “treatment” of discipleship and fellowship.

To this end we pursue ministry for our men, created to meet men’s needs in the various stages of their spiritual experience:

·        Care & Fellowship Groups: We desire that all our men receive nurture and care through regular involvement in Care Groups.

·        Leadership Development:  This tier includes men with proven character who evidence potential for leadership.  This would involve present or potential deacons, elders, Care Group Leaders, Youth Leaders, Children’s Ministry Leaders, Bible Study Leaders and others.  A Sovereign Grace Ministries discipleship notebook is the guide for this course.

·    Diaconal/Pastoral Training:  Training for these offices will involve various means highlighted elsewhere in this manual.

·        Leadership Enrichment:  We make a commitment to provide for the ongoing enrichment of our leading men through pastoral relationships and church-provided books, retreats, conferences, etc.

(These aspects of our Men’s Ministry will be supplemented by Men’s Growth Groups within the context of our Care Groups and other settings.)
